I created this website as a personal blog site. A friend of mine told me I helped motivate her and show her that she has to go out and get what she wants. Even though it may be a little more personal for a class I figured what the hell, might as well use this site since it is meant to share my stories and hopefully motivate someone else.
So for my first blog post for class MC3120, I will share a short bio about myself. The next blog will be an update from my previous blogs.
My name is Andrea, or to some I’m Andi. I’m in my last semester of school and instead of going into my field of study, I’m going to go back into law enforcement. I realized during my time here in classes and in work, I am not ready to sit behind a desk or computer just yet. My passion is law enforcement and that’s exactly what I’m going to do. Most of you already know, I was Military Police for 5 years and within that I was a K9 Handler. I enjoyed my job and always felt it was the best job in the Navy. I did however decide to get out and finish my degree, so that’s where I'm at now.
I chose Integrated Multimedia because I wanted experience in one area and an education in another. I chose this particular field of study because I was interested in design and I enjoyed photography. After learning the different areas, I found that I really enjoy editing videos. Even though it’s not the field I’m going into, I know that what I am learning now can be used in any area.
Hobbies of mine are scuba diving, horseback riding, and training my dog Duxi (pronounced like Dixie). Which whom I miss very much since I decided it would be better for her to stay in Florida for my last semester so I can focus on moving off of this island.
